I got this thing a little over a week ago and after figuring out how it all works and how to view a .3gp file, it’s adequate for my needs. The video quality is not top of the line but I didnt expect it to be. Using it is super easy, not confusing like the video Pen. I’m actually going to order another one of these with the extra memory cards. 2 gigs isnt a lot of space for video.
I am a Former Houston Police Officer and now own Global Investigations in Houston, Texas. This is a very low cost unit and the client is usually very happy with the results. Does not work well if your holding the unit and moving around a lot, but still works enough to see what is going on. Works great if you set it down and if ever asked what it is, I just pull off the cap and show them the USB and tell them that it is a USB Thumb Drive. A Great Investigation tool for a very LOW cost.
Model GD2705. After a long road from Amazon to Beijing, I received the item today. Unfortunately, does not work. All seems OK at first, battery loaded. Card inserted, blue light as expected. Without the card, the green light goes on, so it seems it recognizes the card. Problem: pressing record button, nothing happens. Also, inserting the unit into the computer, the disk does not appear. I tried to use another card, I tried with the unit off (It should be normally on), nothing. Clearly seems a technical defect.

Does not mount on my Win 7 64 bit PC or my 64 bit Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) iMac via USB. Haven’t tried the XP laptop yet, so I will update the review as the tests proceed. Micro SD card will mount with provided adapter, and I concur with the quality comment of the previous reviewer.

Bought this item and tried out immediately—work great good video and audio quality and easy to use………. BUTTTTTT
